Pune, formerly known as Poona until 1978, is the second-largest metropolitan city in Maharashtra. Pune is the eighth-most populous city in India. Although most of the part of Wada was destroyed by a huge fire in 1828, what remains of it is equally thrilling and majestic.

It is believed that on a full moon night the fort becomes haunted by the ghost of a former Peshwa king Narayanrao, who was murdered in the palace by his aunt and uncle – Anandi and Raghunathrao. This grand palace is famous for the famed romance between Peshwa Bajirao and Mastani Sahiba.

Aga Khan Palace:
